March is the International Women's Month. It is important to remember that, in 1857, dozens of textile workers in Manhattan (New York) took to the streets in protest because of the conditions of submission they had at work. They demand the humanization of working conditions and equality of conditions and they fought against the exploitation and discrimination of women. After propagating this movement that came to socialist leaders and raising minds worldwide, in 1975, and by resolution of the United Nations Organization, International Women's Day is commemorated on March 8 of each year.
